Other than the sofas and tables for the living room, what else do you think would be the next important thing to have? What about a fire place? Maybe not, as not everyone would require one especially those from the tropical country. What about a bar counter? Again, not everyone would have that additional space to own one. Well, I would love to have some area rugs and some bean bags to laze in after a hard day’s work.
There are so many types of area rugs to choose from such as Contemporary, Modern Rugs, Rustic & Lodge Rugs, Traditional and Transitional Rugs. As for me, I would love to have some modern area rugs to liven up the place. What more the rugs would blend in well with my HDTV Home Theatre set and modern furniture. I’m sure my guests would surely be impressed with my choice of rugs.
With a crème set of sofas, I had decided to get one that would have a hint of a lighter shade of brown with some black designs. This would look nice with my custom made black display cabinet as well as my TV stand. Well, this will definitely fill up that bare looking areas in my living room. Moreover, I would love to have a place to laze on while watching my favorite movies. I guessed a medium sized rug would be sufficient but I’m still contemplating if I should get a larger one as I have quite a handful of visiting friends weekly. Should I get a medium or large sized rug now? I have to decide soon as my friends would be here this weekend.

vacation
After so many years of working without taking any vacation, I ought to take one right now. It’s time I should let loose and enjoy myself to the maximum to do what I have longed for – skiing, mountaineering and hiking in the snow. Austria would be the ideal destination as the small country has the snowy ski villages of the Tyrolean Alps to the breathtaking resorts at the southern lake district of Vienna.<
Austria has always reminded me of the beautiful sceneries, museums, churches and architectural structures in which Julia Andrews starred in my all time favorite, The Sound of Music. Austria, being known as a classical music country in the world map was also the birth place of world class musicians such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Strauss.
I better start checking all the travel deals that would be available now as I could not wait to get my hands on those Vienna sausages, Afpelstrudel, Palatschinken, Germknodel and many other yummy delicacies that I have been yearning for. The more I talk about food, the hungrier I get now. I’m wondering if I should make Austria my winter sports or Austrian cuisine destination. Maybe I would just choose both since I would be there for my vacation. 😛

If you have the time, try observing those people you walk by carefully. You would see that there are many different ways of walking that will clearly show the characteristic of a person. Some would walk with the chin up to show that they have the confidence to face whatever that would be present of them. Some would slouch as if they have a lot of worries or someone pushing them in their daily lives. Some even took short strides and this would clearly show that they are very indecisive about their surrounding.
From these body movements, you would know the level of confidence in each individual. Which of these two would you project yourself? Do you want to have the confident image in your life or would you like be the one always be indecisive in all the decisions you have to make in life?
It’s not solely on what you wear or the colors of your clothing that would make you a bore amongst your colleagues or friends. It’s how you carry yourself in front of them. Your posture is very important. Lift your chin and walk with your shoulders high, unbent waist with the legs locked. Never slouch or look on the ground as you walk. It would make you look shy and withdrawn. You might even need to get accustomed to shoes such as Manolo Blahnik shoes. Once you are in control of your walking skills in these shoes, you would have already mastered your level of confidence. Wherever you walk, you would feel like some great actresses walking down the walk of fame.

It has been ages that I have this problem of not being able to stop my craving for certain types of food. Whenever I was at this specific area, I would drop by to eat until my tummy bloated up. Penang’s Pulau Tikus Market Hawker area is the place I was mentioning about. Who could resist the aroma from all those yummy hawker dishes floating in the air? Even without the aroma from the satay, fried koay teow, hokkien mee or curry mee, the colorful display of food on bamboo skewers spread on some tables with a boiling pot of water in the middle, would be enough to tempt just anyone.
It has been quite some time since I last had fried koay teow with duck egg. A plate of that might be great to fill up a part in my tummy. Maybe I would get some satay too. Hmm… some sticks of chicken and mutton meat would be great with the spicy pounded peanut sauce. Did I just smell BBQ seafood on banana leaf? I should get some BBQ stingray with a lot of spices on them. Gosh! Is that soaked cuttlefish with water crest? I have not had that for a long time too. I think a small plate will serve me well.
What was that colorful food in small containers that I have seen so many people carrying by me? Is there a new stall further down this stretch of food stalls? I think I ought to explore. Wow! There’s a new sushi corner. I could never get enough of sushi rolls as well. They have always been my favorite food. There are over 100 combinations ranging from unagi, egg, tuna, salmon, prawn, baby octopus, seaweed, soft shell crab, crabstick, fish roes, prawn roes, escargot, etc. They even have California rolls and some fruity yogurt sushi. Most cost barely RM1 ($0.30). I would have some takeaways for supper tonight.
Many of my friends were curious about the amount of my food intake and yet I could still maintain my slim body figure. Well, when you have the best weight loss pills around, you do not have to worry about cutting down some extra weights within the shortest time.

I had written earlier in Home Improvements Part 1 on how to get the best out of limited space in your new home. Let’s look more onto those areas for relaxation today such as your sitting room. Other than the normal space saving sofas which you could easily source from those furniture shops around your town, try finding one single that has the multi-purpose usage to your preferences. For example, let’s look at one such furniture as shown below. Not only will you be able to use that as your reading chair, you can even adjust your body to the high tech body curve built of the chair for some siesta.
If you have a patio or sliding door for some sunlight to shine in, you can even set up your own indoor sundeck chair. I’m sure you would want something that looks simple and yet elegant. Try finding something that is real artistic and won’t get out of date. Would you like this one?
Where else do you think you relax most? Would that be your own cubicle in the most private part of your house? Bingo! That’s right! It’s your bathroom where you deal with most of your nature’s business. I have seen bathrooms with so much wastage of space before in large mansion. Is that a necessity? Well, those could well meant for the rich and famous but as commoners that would not be a must have. With limited space in a bathroom, even installing a basin, a toilet bowl with a bathing area would be such a headache. Thanks to the innovation of a genius, nothing would be impossible now. Maybe I would try this too. It’s too cool to resist!
