When I was young, I often visit my neighbors to play during my free time. I used to remember they had an uncle who was a drug addict. Being a young child, I could not understand the reason behind him being an addict. Though I felt a little scary about it, I still go to their house for a session or two of games. Sometimes, I do see some used syringes scattered underneath his bed.
Since most patients are in the denial, it would be rather difficult for them to seek treatment during the crucial period, especially during that time when medication was not that advanced yet. If it would have been today, I would probably advise my neighbor to persuade her uncle to seek the required treatments. Nowadays, most rehabilitation centers do offer inpatient substance abuse treatment. At least, it would help those affected persons to eliminate their addictions and lead a better life. Overdosed of drugs or alcohol could lead to fatal diseases and many other complications. Thus, it would be great to stay away from them.
Anyway, that neighbor of mine met his fate not long after. All I could remember was that an ambulance took his almost frozen body and never saw him again. I had never asked about his absence. I guessed he would have long gone by now.

As I was flipping through some of the lifestyle magazines recently, I realized that more and more companies are coming out with new products and solutions in their advertisements. They would be offering slimming courses, weight loss products, hair treatments and beauty products of many needs and wants, obviously setting their targets towards those young urban professionals.
Nowadays, it had become quite a norm that regardless you are a man or a woman, cosmetic products had become quite a hot selling product on the market as both sexes are willingly to spend a lot of time and money to make their appearances excel in public. Needless to say, they would be on a high look out for products related to skin whitening, moisturizing, anti wrinkles, adult acne problems, pigmentation and many more.
I often wondered how much money one would need to earn in order to have the best appearance in the eyes of others. Looking good would never stop there as you would also need to maintain your appearances throughout your life. There’s the facial scrub to exfoliate dead skin and black heads, the facial wash to have a cleaner skin from the dirt and dust within the atmosphere, the face moisturizer or toner to moist your skin for a healthier and ageless look. The list will never end there as there would be different products available to suit different needs such as for dry skin, oily skin, pores, etc.

With most of my friends back during the recent festive season, we took the opportunity to hold a reunion cum open house party at one of my friend’s recently bought double-storey semi-detached house. To our amazes, it was one of the most well maintained houses we have ever been to, with not even a speck of dust in sight. The puzzling part was that she would only employ the help of a weekend maid every fortnightly to assist in cleaning up the house.
As a working wife, mother and cook for dinners, how did she manage to cope with the vast space? Magic? Hmm… maybe not as she’s not just like the “Sabrina” I know and I did not see “Salem” the cat around too. Haha! I hope she will reveal to us her secret as my house would really need such a clean environment and I do have some pets running about too.
Ever since junior high school, I have never seen her surrounding to be this super clean unless she had the help of her mother, who was not staying with her that time. After much persuasion from our bunch of good friends, she finally revealed her secret. She relied on the help of her old faithful – the Miele vacuum cleaner to do all the wonders. With barely much effort, she managed to suck up all the unwanted allergens at every loops and corners in the house. What an amazing product! I better get one too as mine did not have the ability to keep my house spotlessly clean.
Anyway, it was indeed a great party as we get to exchange news about our lives since leaving school. Moreover, I had an enlightening experience learning how to be a great household taker in the near future.

There’s no doubt that buying a car is easy for many people out there but to maintain a car is not as hassle free as one may think. There are many things to take charge of after the purchases such as the changing of engine oil, air filter, car tires replacement and alignment, protecting that shine on your car, renewing of the road tax or even getting the cheapest auto insurance that would suit your needs. Well, your new “babe” would surely need lots of your attention after owning her from now onwards. LOL!
There are a few notes that I would like to stress on while you own a car. Firstly, it the golden rule of “Don’t Drink and Drive”. There’s nothing wrong with having some happy times in life but if you are under the influence of alcohol, it would be better to let someone else sober do the driving instead. If not, just take a cab home and make sure your car is securely locked and appropriately parked.
Secondly, it’s the “Don’t Text & Drive” even if you really need to send an urgent text messaging to just anyone. Pull over your car and park at a safe spot that would not obstruct any traffic and make whatever calls or text messages you would need to do before proceeding to your next destination.
The latest concern by the respective authorities sparked another new distraction while driving. It’s the “Don’t Eat and Drive” policy. Through a recent survey, it was found that many drivers would commit such an act due to their hectic lifestyle. Meals on wheels had become a norm in the lives of many drivers. There have been many reported accident cases caused by the distractions from spilled drinks, ketchups or even falling asleep from a “too heavy meal” while driving. If you intend to eat, do it in a safe spot and not while driving. Make sure you are not drowsy after each meal before driving off.

Instead of going out to enjoy the bright and sunny weekend, I decided to stay home for some relaxation after a long week of stressful projects. Slumping on my lazy man’s couch with a bucketful of caramelized popcorns, I decided to watch some adventurous movies on the tube. At least, it would not be as tiring as my usual weekend adventurous trip in search of excitements with my friends. Well, adventurers do need some rest too right? 😛
There was this movie about a family’s plan to explore the continent on a long stretch of holidays. Filling up their rented RV with all the necessary items, they embarked on journey that would always be in their nightmares. They did not realize that renting a cheap recreational vehicle (RV) would not save up some amount of money. Eventually, their vehicle met with lots of complication that their so-called happy holiday ended up disastrous. Thus, they spent more on lodging as their vehicle was at the workshop most of the time.
From this movie, I realized how lucky I am to be able to own my vehicle through some rv financing instead of relying on rented ones. I would say it’s a matter of luck as some older RV indeed would have more breakdowns through the years of wearing and tearing. At least, I don’t have to go through the trauma as experienced by that family. I love my RV!
