Wow! I have been feasting on all the wonderful food around that I had totally ignored my weight gain. How could anyone suppress the temptation of great food served on the table? The worst case was that I had been sitting and eating all day long without even pushing myself to the gym to burn some fat off my ever expanding body size.
Suddenly, I remembered what my cardiologist friend told me earlier, “If one day you stood up straight and look down for your toe lines and could not find them, it’s time for you to lose some weight as there would be a silent killer hidden inside you that would strike you anytime when you least expect it.”
Gosh! Does that mean that I would be struck with a heart attack if I did not watch my diet carefully and shred those wobbling belly of mine? Argh! This is hell to me as the Good CART (Cocaine Amphetamine Regulatory Transcript) and Evil NPY (Neuropetide-Y) are fighting in my brains now trying to conquer my food intake. I love eating and diet means refusing my ever yearning appetite for good food but then I also should not ignore the advice of my doctor friend. Somebody please get me a bottle of appetite suppressant now before I finished off that large bucket of yummy butter caramel coated popcorn of mine!
Note: Cocaine Amphetamine Regulatory Transcript (CART) is the brain signals for you stop eating and increase metabolism while Neuropetide-Y (NPY) is a stress hormone that decreases metabolism and increase appetites, as stress tends to do

With a successful turnout for the second Penang Food Bloggers (Floggers) Meet at Edelweisse Café on 27 September 2008, the organizing committee had decided to hold another gathering some time in the month of December. That would be the time where all the jingles and jangles of the Christmas bells would be heard. I was anxious about the next gathering until I found out that it might be a potluck gathering.
The first thing that came into my mind was what should I prepare for the gathering that would impress the guests? I was digging into my recipe collections trying to figure out what would be the ideal dish but I was lost. Everything was Oriental and would have to be taken with some rice. I needed something that would be light and easy to consume without the hassle of using fork and spoon or even a knife. I will need some finger food.
After stretching my brains out, I thought why not I have some holiday appetizers since we would be having Christmas just around the corner. The appetizer should be something to set the mood of the gathering to be happy, joyous and merry. Now I’m contemplating whether to have some Sweet Potato Pecan Tarts or Chipotle Shrimp Cups. Maybe I should have some salty items instead. What do you think?

Although the major attractions in Las Vegas are the casinos, I’m more interested in experiencing the lifestyle of the 32nd most populated state of the USA. Can you imagine being in a place where there would be buildings lighted up every night time? One of the places I would love to visit would be the Fremont Street Experience which is a major tourist attraction and a pedestrian mall in down town Las Vegas, Nevada. Another place which would be interesting would be the Neon Museum which would display old neon signs of Las Vegas casinos as far back as 1940.
There would also be concerts and light shows occasionally. I hope I can get to see one and experience the millions of LED lighted canopy within the FSE. Now there are so many hotels with thousands of room in them for me to choose from. Which of these hotels should I choose? I guessed I would just chose one Vegas hotel that would suit my basic needs as I would surely be busy snapping shots of the surrounding area all the time.
I also found out that there would be the Neonopolis which would form the east end of the pedestrian mall, where Las Vegas Boulevard South meets Fremont Street. This is definitely a place I would visit. Who would want to miss out a $100 million open-air restaurant, shop and entertainment complex with a 14-screen Galaxy Theaters movie theater? As the date for my vacation is drawing nearer each day, I better start packing my luggage now for a fun-filled experience.

Do you believe that home theater systems, furniture, flooring and carpeting were created for some reasons? Yes, they are to make your life more comfortable especially after a hard day’s of work? Coming back from work and indulging yourself into your own created living room settings should be something you would like to look forward to each day.
Since living room is the place for your total comfort and relaxation, you should take note of what would be the ideal combination. As for me, I would love to relax by watching some movies on my home theater set. The first thing I would do would be to slumber onto the nearest comfortable furniture I could find regardless of where they would be. Thus, I had the floor lined with some home theater carpeting and some bean bags. Not only did these simple setting suits my personal taste of freedom, it also allows wide seating space because I would never know who else might just drop by for a visit.
There are many books and magazine that would suggest the ideal looks, styles and selection for your living room but I would always like the idea of simplicity. I would surely not sacrifice comfort for style. After all, who would not want to be in a comfortable and relaxing ambience after a hard day’s of work?

During certain time in our journey through life, there would surely be a time where we will seek more love not from our family but from those whom we once considered as strangers. We go on dates to find the person who would be our soul mate for a lifetime. This would be the time when two parties get to understand each other better. I have many of those sweet memories, especially during my teenage years. Strangers became friends. Friends subsequently come and go as time went by, each having their own dreams to achieve something wonderful in their life.
There was this case which I could not erase from my memory. This girl in my school has always been teased at for having some bad acne problems. Well, some of us would experience that somehow during our adolescent years. It was a matter of having those pesky acne problems to be under control or having them going wild. Coming from a below average family with many siblings, she could not afford getting any products for her facial woes. Seeing her problem then, I managed to get her the acne cure that has been lying around my room for ages ever since my minor acne problem was cured.
Today, she has grown up to be a successful woman filled with confidence. Her beauty is simply flawless in my eyes as well as those guys who had teased her when we were still in high school. In fact, she has become one of the top air hostesses in our local airline company. I just received a call from her asking me out for a date this weekend. I was like stunned. There are so many handsome pilots around her and with her limited time back in our hometown she asked me out? I am still pinching my cheek now in disbelief. Why me? Why me? I do not have the answers now but I would surely want to find out more when we meet up later on.
