I’m not sure if everyone could still remember the cartoon aired in the 80’s on the wonderful family called The Jetsons? The Jetson family live in Skypad Apartments in Orbit City, where all homes and businesses are raised high above the ground and built with a futuristic architecture? You would be surprised that we have one of those constructions right here in Bukit Tunku, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It’s none other than the home of YTL Corporation Berhad’s Managing Director, Tan Sri Dato’ Francis Yeoh.
Completed in the latter part of 2008, the residence is the ultimate expression of the taste, influence and industrial-scale capabilities of the prominent family whose entrepreneurial activities have shaped Kuala Lumpur’s skyline. You would find within this 3,000 square meter enclave 9 bedrooms, 21 bathrooms, 2 guest suites, a ballroom, a study, a game room, a swimming pool, 2 family halls, a private dining, public reception area and huge private and public parking bays. At one glance, it indeed looked like the cage for my cats when handling them to the vet. How I wished I were a cat in that huge cage as the whole interior was furnished with state-of-the-art furniture and fitting. It was indeed my dream home but then only a few pockets are large enough to buy one. Haiz! There goes my dream!
I wonder if I could only get one of this for my house. Even with my endless hours of struggling to earn more money, I don’t think I could even afford just the swimming pool. Mr. Yeoh… any chance of renting out just the pool? LOL!

“Two-thirds of all American adults are on a diet to either lose weight or prevent weight gain. Of those, 29 percent are men and 44 percent women. Yet only 5 percent of these dieters will be successful at keeping the weight that they lost off.” – Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
This is so true as many of us had the intention of getting rid of some fat at certain time of our lives but how many of us had really succeeded in maintaining those weight which we deem ideal? There are many products and solutions to a person’s weight problem but how safe are they towards the person’s health? Some might be promoted by means of extensive publicity. Some might even be mooted up in sales just because some celebrities found them to suit their bodies well.
You might ever hear a lot on the fat-free, low-calories and low in sodium Grapefruit Diet Plan where a glass a day would flush those fat oils away or the Cabbage Soup Diet Plan where you would lose as much as 10lbs a week. What you might not know is that some of these plans had some hidden steps and precautions such as the maximum weight consumption per day, necessary period to stay off the plan before proceeding to the next course or even a long list of items to stay off.
How effective would those plans be when most of us are working persons with barely enough time to monitor our food intakes? We spent most of our time in the office, thus grabbing whatever convenient during our lunch breaks. I personally find those plans to be quite inconvenient when I’m a person who travels a lot in my business. I would rather have some fat burner supplements that would be easy to carry about in my briefcase wherever I go. At least this would still help me to be in a better shape.

The word “Mesothelioma” may sound scientifically like a sort of mineral but the name itself has caused fears in many people who had came across it. Mesothelioma is actually an asbestos caused cancer which affects the membranes that surround the lungs and the lining of the abdomen. It may come with many names such as pleural mesothelioma or peritoneal mesothelioma, but both are as deadly as they may sound.
Although asbestos has been banned in many countries, most people still could not avoid using it as its uses remained quite irreplaceable. With good sound absorption qualities and tensile strength, asbestos is also resistance to heat, electricity and chemical damage. But asbestos is TOXIC! Observations had been carried out, even as early as the ancient time, to study on those people who had come in contact with the deadly asbestos. The material was found to be highly hazardous to the human health.
Workers as well as residents staying near to asbestos factories and mines were found to be hard hit with cancers due to long periods of exposure by inhaling the asbestos fibers. Tests of asbestos exposure had been run on animals and those animals were found to have tumors. Of all other forms of industrial asbestos, amosite has been found to be the most hazardous asbestos mineral. With a straight, hollow, minute and feather-like fiber structure, amosite can stay almost invisible to the human eyes and airborne for up to 72 hours. Thus, it can be highly deadly to the human health. Other than mesothelioma, being overexposed to asbestos has other side effects. It may cause benign like growth on the skin, plaques with discrete fibrous or partially calcified thickened area or even diffuse pleural thickening which may cause lung impairment.
Unless asbestos is recycled by transforming it into harmless silicate glass, porcelain stoneware tiles, porous single-fired wall tiles and ceramic bricks, it is advisable to stay away from the usage of this hazardous material.

I’m going camping for sure but not by the beach or by the mountain anywhere within my home country but in Miami in the southeastern state of Florida. You would be asking what the heck I’m doing in Miami where it’s the seventh largest metro area in the United States. Am I really going to camp by setting up my tent in such a large city? Well, Miami is the only major city in the United States bordered by two national parks, Everglades National Park on the west and Biscayne National Park on the east. Surrounding these two parks are tens of great camping sites, of which some might be privately owned.
Even with the easily available parks, you would still expect me to really set up my tent and camp overnight? Of course I’m not going to miss out my vacation by doing that. It would surely be a more relax and luxurious camping style by mode of my rented recreational vehicle. At least I have the least of worries on gathering dry fire woods for my cooking and also where to ease myself during nature’s call. Moreover, I still have a comfortable and clean bed to sleep on without worrying about the invasion of bugs.
Gosh! I’m really spoilt! Gone were the days of my childhood camping where I have to work hard to ensure a pleasant camping days. Now with rv camping, everything has been so easy. Technology and modernization sure changed our lifestyle a lot.

How often did you hear someone telling you not to skip breakfast as it is the most important meal of the day? You might be wondering what the heck it has to do with you as you could save up a certain sum of money by skipping the meal. You are truly wrong about this misperception as breakfast is surely the most important meal of the day not because of anything else but for your health reason. Can you imagine yourself trying to start your car on an empty fuel tank? How would you expect the car to move without any fuel? The same principle applies to your body. It would not have the necessary energy to sustain your concentration and stamina for the rest of the day.
You might not realize the side effect of skipping breakfast which is going to make your body functions quite chaotic. You tend to eat more frequent and most of the time it would be food that would not contain the necessary nutrients to stay healthy. There are no fixed rules that breakfast must consist of cereal and bread. It could well be fruits or any leftovers. As long as you get your stomach filled prior to going out in the morning, you would be way safe with your “car engine”. You won’t get breakdowns or inconsistent filling up throughout the day. Thus, you would be more attentive and alert towards you daily duties.
Most of the time, I would have bread for breakfast but it’s getting really unhealthy with all those hidden ingredients. Can you imagine the long term consumption of those preservative filled fruit jams or even peanut butter? I would need something fresh, something that I could grow easily and have access to them conveniently. I was thinking of the hardy Blackberry plants which would easily grow on any type of soil. Won’t it be nice have fresh blackberries with cereals, fresh blackberry jams or even blackberry pies for breakfast? I’m anxiously waiting to purchase those yummy fruit plants now.
