An English philosopher by the name of Sir Francis Bacon once said, “Natural abilities are like natural plants, they need pruning by study. How right he was that without reading up more books or getting more information through the easily accessible internet, you would not gain much knowledge and abilities to excel better in life.
I have the tendency of creating things out from the norm, making me a step more successful than most people. Being creative is surely not an in-born thing as many would have presume as it took me years of reading up and learning through trials and errors to get to that perfection I have instilled within me now. One thing I have learned was to break out of the boundaries that had enclosed my creativity and think out of the box.
I often asked myself. Is that the best I can do for what I’m doing now? Is that the standards I have set for myself or should I have higher aims? Did I manage my time and manpower well to get a task done without any hiccups? Am I working in the right establishment or environment to have the peak in creativity? Am I self motivated? Am I the master or worker to my trade? Do I have goals? Am I getting enough of feedbacks for whatever proposals I have in hand to make the project successful? Have I proven myself to be the cream of the crowd to gain respect? What are the values in my life? These 10 points as I put it as the Ten Commandments of My Life have been circling my head for ages, making me a Thinker all the time to get the best of what I have been doing.
The won’t be any solutions in life if you were not well read to understand the way of life and how to counter them if certain situations were to appear. It may just well be a day old newspapers, magazines, novels or even your old textbooks, there will always be rooms in your head to absorb more knowledge. Everyday is a learning process and you would not be too old to learn up something new. What’s holding you back when a journey of a thousand miles will only need your initiative and motivation to begin with the first step?

It has been said that a person will not stop learning even as he grows old. The statement is so true. No matter how old we are, there will never be any ending to how much knowledge we could gain. It felt as if we have gone back to school and learning to read is the first step in gaining more knowledge. The more you read, the more you know, the more you understand how to apply the skills automatically. By increasing the competency, it will increase the motivation to learn more. When a person sees his own progress, he would want to learn more by reading more books.
There are many types of books around the market ranging from arts, photography, novels, computing, hobbies, motoring, beauty, health, cooking, science fictions, romance, children, parenting, sports, teens to books as basic as textbooks and comics. Which would you choose? As for me, I would choose a bit of everything before deciding which category of books will suit me best.
Cooking books will surely enhance the act of self dependent if ever one were to live independently away from home. Parenting books will surely enlighten you on the basic needs of a child in his process of growing up. Fiction books will eventually develop your imaginative power to be creative in your work. Computing book will let you catch up with the state-of-the art products in the world of technology. Even a comic book will help you relieve your mind after a hard day’s work.
No matter what, reading any books has one thing in common. It improves your skill and strategy use, builds fluency, enlarges vocabulary, and builds your knowledge of the world. There will be no harm in reading more. Any day in your life will be another “back to school” day, regardless how old you are now. Just grab a book now and learn what you might not know. Who knows? It might just change your life forever.

I have been having numerous problems with my video card recently. Without any alert, my computer would just reboot itself without allowing me to save whatever I was working on. The worst scenario was when I was in the height of playing some exciting online games. That really got me real crossed as I was not able to save the stage I was in when this happened.
In the end, I was forced to fall back to my built-in video card which was not giving me the clarity and performance as I wanted. I was contemplating to replace my video card with the same model and make. Somehow as I was checking through the wide range of video cards being displayed in the shop, something caught my eyes. It was something that is red and black and with an impressive and sophisticated outlook. That was when I fell in love with the new VisionTek Radeon HD 4870 video card.
The ATI Radeon HD 4870 Series GPUs claimed to deliver a cinematic gaming experience with unprecedented performance and it definitely promised what it claimed. On top of the overwhelming performance I had, I was able to watch Blu-ray movies and play HD content with incredible visual fidelity. Wow! Playing my usual game had never been that smooth before until I had purchased the Radeon HD 4870 Series. I had amazing new experiences with my new video card. I have my nephew and nieces coming over this weekend but I have one major problem. How am I going to entertain them? My house has no children board games. Neither do I have any toys for them to play with. Letting them use my computer for playing online games will surely be out of the idea as I have all my work backups there. One wrong move and all my lifetime work would be gone.
Maybe it’s time I should consider purchasing a Sony PS2 for the house. At least I can relax myself by playing one or two games too when I felt stress at work. Did you know that the Sony PlayStation had advanced so much that it has multiple functions now? You can anytime use PS CDROM, PS2 CDROM, PS2 DVDROM, or play Audio CD. On top of that, you can also play DVD Video where it is in DVDR or DVDRW formats. Isn’t it wonderful to have the all-in-one gadget in the house?
I wonder what PS2 games are available in the market now. I think I should get Half Life since I have not been playing the game for ages. Cabela’s Big Game Hunter and UEFA EURO 2008 might be fun to have too. I guessed I should head down to town now to get the discs before the shop closes.
