PHOTO HUNTERS: DELICIOUS
It’s a total new season for Photo Hunter 2008!
This week’s theme is on DELICIOUS.
Chinese New Year is just about a month away
And I would like to share with you all a DELICIOUS recipe.
The dish is my own creation and I call it
PROSPERITY NUTTY MUSHY OYSTER
INGREDIENTS:
300gms dried oyster (boil 30mins with low fire until tender)
250gms pork (slice and marinate with soy sauce, sesame oil, pepper, ginger juice)
1 tin broiled peanuts (225gms)
1 tin gingko nuts (470gms)
150gms mini Chinese mushroom
(soak, drain and marinate with soy sauce, sesame oil, pepper, pinch of sugar, ginger juice)
150gms Chinese chestnuts (boil 30mins with low fire or until tender)
50gms Nostoc flagelliforme aka Fatt Choy (soak, dry and add in 1tsp Brandy)
1” young ginger (cut into strips)
2 garlic (chopped)
2 Tbsp oyster sauce
1Tbsp dark sauce
Some oil
Pinch of salt to taste
METHOD OF COOKING:
Heat up some oil and stir fry the oyster until fragrance. Dish out.
Heat up some oil and stir fry the mini mushroom until fragrance. Dish out.
Heat up 2 tablespoon oil with the chopped garlic and stripped ginger.
Fry until slightly brown.
Put in the sliced pork, oyster sauce and dark sauce and fry until cook.
Put in 1/2 cup water and bring to boil.
Add in the oysters and mini mushroom, peanuts, Chinese chestnut
And simmer in slow fire until it becomes thick gravy.
Add in pinch of salt to taste.
Add in the gingko nuts and fatt choy.
Stir for 5 minute and dish out.
Serve with steamed rice
