technology
What would you buy in this fast changing technological world of today to replace your current computer which has turned into a white elephant within just a few months? Should you get a laptop or a desktop computer? There is no right or wrong in getting either one as it all depends on your lifestyle and what applications you are going to use on it.
The main benefit of having laptop computers is the portability. You can practically take it anywhere, whether to the office or to your client’s place for some live presentations. With the easy access to the wifi connections in most of the hangout places nowadays, more and more people have opted for the laptop computer. Not only can they online to check their emails, they can even seal some deals outside of the office vicinity. This will indeed boost up sales for any companies.
As someone from the designing field, the only drawback I can think of having a laptop computer is the ability to process big graphical files. It tends to take up three to four times more to get a complicated graphic processed. Unless I get something which is far more technologically advance than a normal laptop configuration, it is just not up to my expectation. Moreover, the cost would be too high for me to justify the added cost.
On top of the disadvantages it posed to the designing field, I still got hold of a basic laptop computer. It is for the convenience sake of presenting to my client any files which they might not have the software to access. I still do all the complicated designing using my desktop whereas the end product would be transferred to the laptop for presentation purposes. All I can say is that laptops should be viewed as a purchase that should only be made when necessary.

How many celebrations do you have in a year? There will be so many birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, births, etc that you will be purchasing lots of greeting cards for the special occasions. Normally, most people would have purchased those ready-made cards through the shelves. They might be beautiful but expensive and they are not personalized at all.
Have you ever thought of doing your own? All you need to do is to learn up one design software and own a color laser printer. Mastering any software would not be a waste of time at all as they are real useful when it comes to designing your own in-house bulletins, doing some presentations or even having scrapbook as a hobby. You can choose from Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand or CorelDraw and start learning up the features.
As for printer, what do you really need? I would recommend at least a color laser printer as the printouts will not fade even if you have spilled some water over it. There are many brands of printers in the market place for you to choose from. No matter what the brand may be, choose one that is to your budget and liking. Good luck in creating your own personalized cards.

I have been trying to trim down that fatty waist line of mine for ages but each time I have the urging nagging from the inner self to do so, I ended up giving excuses to start exercising the next day. Those yummy food projects that I am having now have always stopped me from exercising but will it save me from getting into more health related issues later?
I always asked myself, “Why do I lack the enthusiasm?” Is it really that difficult for me to start doing some exercise? Although I am a workaholic, that should not be the main excuse. Isn’t this the same scenario in all of us here? There is always some sort of excuses for everything that is related to exercising. Is it the companionship? Is it the dread of getting sweaty and smelly all over the body? Is it the fear of tiring every muscle in the body and turning into a whimpering and exhausted weakling towards the end of the day and not able to continue with the never ending piles of workload?
Later, I had the typical idea of slimming down through one of the best diet pill companies that my friend had recommended. Initially, everything went on smoothly until the temptation of all the delicious food crept their way unconsciously into my dreams. Temptation overruled the determination to get a slim and fit body. Days after days of postponing the diet programs ended up to years of ignorance. In the end, all turned into laziness, laziness and more laziness. Workouts were replaced with endless eat-outs. There is still tomorrow as I would always tell myself but it will never be a reality as tomorrow will never come as it will always be replaced by today.

I was just out for few days and I could hardly recognize my house when I came back. The amount of dust had accumulated so thick that I could have made a one pound cake out of it. What has been going on in this house during my absence? Does the word responsibility ever exist in the vocabulary of the rest of the family members? I guess not as no one seemed to have the time to clean up the place anymore. No matter what, I would surely not forsake my responsibility to clean up this household. It would be beyond my imagination if this house ended up as a pig sty.
If not for my recent purchase of the microfiber set of cleaning equipments, I would be screaming like a mad dog now. Cleaning up has not been so easy. I just wonder how they could have ignored their duties. Is it due to plain laziness or just excuses for not having the time? With the help of the microfiber mops for dusting and wet cleaning, I cleaned up the whole house in just a few minutes. Don’t you think that it was just excuses for not sparing that few minutes on doing some house chores?
Responsibility is something that is critical in a person’s life. If a person ignored his responsibility in his home, how could he be relied on or respected when he is out there in a working environment? A person is by his actions and not by the words that come out of his mouth. That is the reason why there is the saying of “Actions speaks louder than words” and it all begin from within the home itself.
